Apple has fixed vulnerabilities in OS X
According to the official ESET NOD32 blog, Apple has released an update APPLE-SA-2014-09-29-1 to fix the previously discovered Shellshock vulnerability in the OS X operating system for Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks versions.
The update delivers a new version of the Bash interpreter, v.3.2.53, and fixes two vulnerabilities:
CVE-2014-6271 (Stephane Chazelas) CVE-2014-7169 (Tavis Ormandy) The first vulnerability is a previously discovered bug in Bash that resulted in the execution of improper interpreter instructions.
The second is a vulnerability in the first Bash patch, which also contained an error and could lead to unauthorized execution of instructions.
